Conecuh County School System
The Conecuh County School System believes each student is unique and has value, is worthy of a safe supportive environment and is entitled to be taught by qualified caring faculty and staff who serve as role models.
The system’s vision is the STARS (Students and Teachers Achieving Remarkable Success) — a concept that means the schools work to provide challenging innovative learning experiences in the instructional program.
That commitment can be seen in Conecuh County Schools’ academic success. Among the system’s honors, Hillcrest High school was named a Bronze School in the 2014 issue of US News & World Report’s Best High Schools ranking. Hillcrest High School also received at $450,000 21st Century Grant and Evergreen Elementary has been named a Torchbearer School, which honors high achieving/high poverty schools.
Conecuh County also offers distance learning for seventh and eighth-grade math, science and social studies courses on four of its campuses.
The system holds districtwide accreditation from AdvancED and it’s proficiency rates on state achievement tests have been among the highest in this region of the state.
