Conecuh County Workforce Development Center

The Workforce Development Center
Created with students and community in mind, the Conecuh County Workforce Development Center is the hub of Conecuh County Schools' Career and Technical Education programs: Agriscience, Business Administration and Management, Health Sciences, Dual Enrollment Welding, and JAG.

The purpose of the WDC, which is located between the Brooks Memorial Football Stadium and Hillcrest High School, is to guide and educate students in the career of their choice and allow them to explore career paths while still in high school. We currently serve 9th-12th grade students, who are transported via school bus to and from Hillcrest High School.

“It’s always a great day of teaching and learning at the WDC!”

If you follow our social media pages, the above is our tagline! I wholeheartedly believe it and try to model it for students each day they step foot onto our campus. It is a privilege and an honor to come back home to serve the students of Conecuh County! It is my goal to not only lead staff in teaching and learning , but I also want to ensure that the initiatives we put in place at the Workforce Development Center are equitable and sustainable for our community.

Our purpose at the Workforce Development Center is simple. We seek to: Educate, Expose, Empower, Enrich and Enlighten students.  We want learners to be successful and walk away inspired because of HOW they were treated NOT in spite of how they were treated.  The lessons that are created, the field experiences that are planned, the guest speakers that are chosen, the activities that are organized, and the partnerships that are made with business and industry are key elements to ensure that we produce viable assets for the community.

Thank you for the continued support!
