What Is STEM?

STEM is an acronym that stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math. These fields have innovation, collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking in common. There is national interest in promoting STEM, even up to the presidential level, because so few students are choosing STEM fields in college.

I am from Atmore, AL. I went to Alabama State University where I studied Biology with a focus in Marine science. I have been teaching for seven years, two of those being in the Montgomery County School System and the other four in Memphis Shelby County Schools. I am an FAA certified drone pilot and. In my free time I like to fly drones, fish and ride four wheelers. I am happy to be joining the WDC this year and can't wait to see what the future holds here.
